I agree that this brave woman is a hero. I disagree with your notion that the gunman had "sworn to kill those who kill the followers of Allah". The facts as they stand (so far) are that he was under a lot of pressure regarding his impending deployment and that he, like so many others, tragically snapped. What Major Hasan did was monstrous and inexcusable but if we simply decide that "Muslim=America-hating terrorist" and attribute this tragedy to simply that, then we will be doing nothing to prevent the next attack.
I know that you are severely and irrationally prejudiced against followers of Islam, which you have gotten into your head as an immoral, bloodthirsty religion, a label which it does not deserve any more than does Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Shinto, Buddhism, other major faiths, or even atheism. You must learn to differentiate between the man and the religion. If Hasan's psychosis means that all Muslims are bloodthirsty murderers ready to go on a rampage, than Andrea Yates's sick actions must mean that all Christians may, at any moment, drown their children to protect them from Satan. This kind of reasoning is similar to the following example:
Socrates is dead.
Cats are mortal.
Hence, Socrates was a cat.

I ask that you not let your hatred of the man spill over to the estimated 1.5 billion innocents who share nothing but the basis of faith with Hasan. Also, I ask that you, as I explained above, do not jump to the dangerous conclusion that Islam is the root of Hasan's terrible attack on his comrades. Now, my gut reaction is that you, being a bigoted, reactionary asshole, will disregard both of these requests and choose the easy path of hatred as your belief. But I've been wrong before; your recent post about gun statistics gives me some dubious faith in your mental capabilities. I'll just have to wait and see.

"real reporters": Who do you consider a real reporter? I'm just wondering. I, for one, find CNN, MSNBC, and especially the Associated Press trustworthy news sources and find it to be nothing shy of the most hilarious irony that you consider them "entertainment media". What would be in their best interests to cover up? Are they controlled by radical Muslims who want the public to think that Muslims can do no wrong? Do they think it will reflect badly on them that a soldier lost his marbles and killed a bunch of other soldiers?

You are so cynical that you forget to ask yourself, "why would so-and-so want to stop me from knowing such-and-such", but rather continue on your dogmatic quest for vindication of your opinions and premature conclusions.

Again, job well done and a tip of the hat to Officer Munley.

Dave, if you have any objection to what I have just said, please feel free to
Blow it out your ass,
