Islamic Water

This [Youtube video] has got to be seen to be believed. Scientists exposed water to Islamic scriptures, and obtained “beautiful crystals”. This “microscopically confirmed islam is the correct religion.”

Praise Allah! Peace be upon Him! Islamic water forms beautiful, intricate, six-sided crystals!

Also known as “snowflakes”, you ignorant desert bandits. You should visit the poles, where there’s plenty of snow to embrace.

Oh, and you should probably capitalize the name of your religion, or the very rocks and trees will cry out, “There is an illiterate terrorist hiding behind me! Come and kill him!”

As always:

There is no god, not even Allah, and Mohammed, may piss be upon him, was no prophet, but a child-molesting mass murder.

I await the opportunity to embrace my fatwah, damn it.

Ohhhhh, my. You don’t know when to quit, do you? OBVIOUSLY, this is BS, and I don’t mean the degree abbreviation. On this I agree with you. Trying to prove the truth of religion by the use of science is just stupid, as science is essentially rational and religion is based on faith which is empirically irrational.

But you are just making yourself look ignorant by commenting on it. By calling the “researchers” “ignorant desert bandits” you are furthering a dumb-ass racist stereotype. Ignorance is quite subjective, by the way. The people of the Arabian Peninsula and the Sahara Desert have been able to live comfortably in an environment that is lethal to us Westerners EVEN WITH MUCH OF OUR TECHNOLOGY. And they have lived there for over a millenium with little more than camels, tents, and wool and cotton clothes in way of technology. So don’t be too quick to declare yourself superior to the Bedouin or the Arab.

And one thing that makes me really wonder about your mental faculties is the fact that you are even making the connection “muslim=arab”. These “researchers” are in JAPAN. “Anata wa bakka des” is some good Japanese for you, for the record. Islam, like most Religions of the Book is not confined to a particular ethnic group. You are just an asshole reactionary.

I doubt there will be any fatwa placed on your head as major clerics tend to realize that they would be just giving you more attention and expanding your readership by calling you out. That is what you are doing with the snowflake research, by the way. You are just giving them more attention.

    Adios,

P.S. ANATA WA BAKKA DES!!! ANATA WA BAKKA DES!!! BAKKA NAMAGOMI!!!

For some reason, WordPress has been counting comments but not displaying them to me. I thought it was some glitch in the database. Today I log in, and Blam! about a dozen comments and links I’ve never seen before. My apologies for not replying earlier.

And welcome, venomlash! Thank you for reassuring me that I am not shouting into an echo chamber.

    On to responding:

The researchers may be Japanese, but the commentators don’t seem to be. It is not clear to me, in fact, that there are any researchers. I can’t believe that anyone, from anywhere on the planet, who could reasonably be called a “researcher”, would present results as ludicrous as what’s presented here.

This seems to me to be a fabrication, pure propaganda, aimed at an audience that has never seen nor heard of snow.

My phrase “ignorant desert bandits” is aimed at the “commentators” and their masters doing their level best to keep their people, the Bedouins and Arabs you mention, so ignorant that they will remain content with their “camels, tents, and wool and cotton clothes” for another thousand years. Thing is, they wish to impose that ignorance, and the customs enshrined in the Koran, on all the rest of us who do not live in the desert.

Oh, and as for “giving them more attention”: Isn’t sunlight supposed to be the best disinfectant?

  3. venomlash says:

I submit for your consideration several points:
-Sunlight is really only a disinfectant when paired with anatase (a photocatalytic form of titanium dioxide).

-The Saudi Arabians, for all the easy oil money they have, are building universities looking into many industries, including alternative fuel. Saudi Arabia, one of the most hardline Islamic states (they have no real code of law apart from the Sharia), is now run by fairly moderate (in comparison to previous members of the House of Saud) rulers and is not attempting to keep their country’s economy in the Dark Ages.

-It is unlikely that anyone who has access to Youtube has never heard of snow.

-The Bedouins and other peoples of the desert are not ignorant so much as traditionalist. They, through customs and upbringing, live very much the way they do today because they wish to. Many do use certain modern conveniences to supplement their older traditions. To attempt to forcibly transplant them to more modern society would be traumatic and would amount to totally destroying a culture. Look at what happened to the Aborigines of Australia when they were forcibly integrated into city/ranch life; though they could live comfortably in the forbidding Outback, they were out of their depth in society. Would you repeat this tragedy?

-Islam today does not promote stagnation or regression to the days of Mohammed any more than Christianity or Judaism of today (and I for the record am a proud Jew) would have us stone our rebellious sons or make sacrifices of farm animals upon God’s altar.

-Calling Arabs “ignorant desert bandits” is just plain racial stereotyping.

-How is this any different from Christian evangelists who demand that we all accept Jesus as our sole hope of salvation (and not, say, good deed and righteous living)?

-I put “researchers” in quotes for a reason. Any Joe Blow can tell that these aren’t actual scientists.

-By telling everyone about this video, you are doing nothing more than feeding a troll. And it’s a very bad idea to feed trolls.

    Thank you,
    venomlash

P.S. “bakka namagomi” means “stupid raw garbage” for those Nihongophiles out there.
