Still with nothing to sew back and no insurance and the good fortune of me being a bit of a hippie at the time, I changed bandages for him twice a day and dousing the two affected fingers with tea tree oil and lavender, it did an AMAZING job. Needless to say, we've always kept a supply (dare I say) handy. No better way to teach a kid it’s dangerous!

I mean, everybody should be able to say "Fuck!" to good effect when necessary, right? As to healing, triple-antibiotic ointment has been very effective. The wound hasn't hurt much at all, and it looks like it's healing up nicely. Still red, but not quite so raw. Tonight, though, I was at my sister's house, playing with a dog, and accidentally, jammed that finger straight into a chair arm. That hurt more than the saw itself did. In fact, it's still kinda tender from that. As to sticking to painting--you've had <b>babies</b>. You even had more after you knew what you were getting into...you be tough, m'lady, like I can't remotely imagine. I hope I taught him well.
