In response to a hairbrained scheme to force Maryland gunowners to buy new, serialized ammo after disposing of their current unserialized stock, Sebastian over at Snowflakes in Hell says:
Turning in the unserialized ammunition sounds like a fine idea to me.
heh heh heh. I assume Sebastian means “One round at a time delivered personally to any legislator who helps pass this piece of crap”.
Given the reports at the links Sebastian provides, though, I think the chances of this passing are nil. It doesn’t help that the guy pushing this is the patent holder on the process, and stands to make millions of dollars off the per-round royalty he’d get.
