Joe Horn is a homeowner in Pasadena, Texas (a suburb of Houston) who shot at two burglars raiding his neighbor’s house, killing one. This is likely to become a test case on the breadth of the Texas laws concerning deadly force.
I can’t figure out where I found this link to a video showing Black Panthers, led by Quanell X, trying to demonstrate in Joe Horn’s neighborhood, and being driven off by counter-protestors.
The video is also available at Blogs of War, by the videographer himself. (Hit the Breitbart link above first; Blogs of War is getting hammered.)
Where do my sympathies lie?
A few weeks ago I woke up to find that someone had burgled my house while I slept. I’m reasonably sure that if I had awakened, I would be dead now.
Benefit of the doubt goes to Horn. I’m eager to see what happens to the burglary rate in Pasadena in light of this incident.
I want the word to get out: VCRs and jewelry being worth a human life is the goblins’ equation, not the homeowners’.
Oh, yeah, and Q-Ball? This is not about race. Given the way that crowd reacted, you very seriously do not want to make it about race.
